MASALA SOOJI BALLS:
Ingredients:
For sooji mixture:
- Sooji / rawa 1 cup
- Water 2 cups
- Salt as needed
- Grated ginger 1 tbsp
- Chopped green chillies 2 nos
- Oil 2 tbsp
For Tempering:
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Cashews handful
- Bunch of curry leaves
- Channa dal 1 tbsp
- Urad dal 1 tbsp
- Hing a pinch
- Turmeric a pinch
- Red chilli 1 tbsp
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, add grated ginger and chopped chillies and fry for 1 min. now add water and salt and have a boil, now add sooji and mix till all the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Now make some small balls out of the sooji mixture and keep aside.
- Heat oil in another pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and let it crackle, now add rest of the ingredients mentioned for tempering and fry for 1 min. Now add the sooji balls and fry for 5 mins.
- Remove and serve hot.
