MUSHROOM MANCHURIAN :
INGREDIENTS:
- Button Mushrooms 500 gms (cut into halves)
- Onions 2 nos (bit bigger size)
- Chopped Capsicum 250 gms (bit bigger size)
- Chopped Carrots 2 nos (bit bigger size)
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Green chillies slit 2 nos
- Black pepper powder
- Salt as per taste
- Soya sauce 2 tbsp
- Tomato sauce 4 tbsp
- Chilli sauce 2 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tsp
- Cornflour mixed with water (2:2 ratio)
- Water for gravy 3 cups or more as required
- Oil for cooking
METHOD:
Using Normal Deep frying Method:
- First mix cornflour, salt in mushrooms, slight water and mix well. Deep fry mushrooms in oil. Remove and keep aside.
- Now in a kadai warm oil, add ginger garlic paste , green chillies and fry for 3 mins till raw smell goes away, now add chopped vegetables and saute for 5 mins.
- Now add salt, pinch of sugar, black pepper powder, tomato sauce, vinegar, chilli sauce and soya sauce and fry for more 2 mins.
- Now add cornflour mixture and water and cook till the gravy thickens.
- Remove and serve hot with noodles/rice/paratha.
Using Less oil Method (healthier version) :
- Heat 2 tbsp oil and add ginger garlic paste , green chillies and saute it for 3 mins, now add all chopped vegetables with mushrooms, salt, pinch of sugar and cook till the vegetables are ¾ cooked.
- Now add tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar, black pepper powder, chilli sauce and fry for another 2 mins.
- Now add cornflour mixture and water and cook till gravy thickens.
- Remove and serve hot with noodles/ rice / paratha.
